How I Healed My Chronic Illness

I believe it's essential to be informed and learn as much as possible about ways to heal your physical health. I spent 57 years being physically sick, which is a really long time. It wasn't until four months ago that I finally found a permanent solution to an illness that affected every part of my life.

I intend to share this information to help others suffering from chronic symptoms, including but not limited to digestive problems. To do so, I must come from a place of vulnerability and give details that only people incredibly close to me would know, but if this helps even one person, then I will have succeeded with my intention.

Let me give you a little background on my life-long journey of suffering from constant and daily intestinal pain, double-over cramping, and uncontrollable diarrhea. It's not a pretty story, but the ending is life-changing and, best of all, permanent!

My digestive issues started when I was very young and continued throughout my life until just recently. I don't remember when I didn't suffer from severe intestinal problems, but there was always a tiny voice inside of me that knew I could one day be pain and symptom-free and finally feel healthy. I became really good at hiding how sick I always felt and never let it stop me entirely from doing things I wanted to.

However, saying that, feeling this way did stop me from truly living a fulfilling, fun and enjoyable life. I always pushed myself to do things, even if I had to go without eating all day to go to work or out with friends, but this also caused immense anxiety. The anxiety was due to me never knowing when I would have random, uncontrollable diarrhea, which happens so fast that you cannot make it to a bathroom in time. I often would carry extra clothes with me because I never knew when I would need them. My emotions would range from feeling humiliated, angry, and distraught. It happened more times than I care to remember.

Well, enough of describing that horrible experience. Let's move on to the multiple things I have tried through the years to find a solution and the one simple thing that solved everything!

I want to clarify that I am not bashing the medical society or the homeopath solutions. I believe that both can be extremely helpful for many illnesses that we struggle with, whether used separately or together. I feel it's important to mention there are many options available because everyone and their circumstances are different.

In my case, neither the medical nor homeopath doctors could figure out my problem. It was very frustrating, exhausting, and costly. I spent thousands of dollars over the years on homeopathy treatments, medications, energy modalities, courses, and mental healing, as I believe many body illnesses are from past emotional trauma. Each of these mentioned had its benefits. I healed emotional trauma and learned a lot in the process.

A gluten-free diet was recommended, so I strictly stayed away from gluten for ten years, but I still had many intestinal problems. In fact, eating most gluten-free foods was the worse thing I could have done for my body, which I will explain later.

Three years ago, I went to a compassionate gastrointestinal doctor and agreed to get a colonoscopy to rule out crohn's, colitis, celiac and other diseases. Thankfully, everything was perfect! With that news and the doctor's approval, I stopped eating gluten-free foods. I am not going to lie; I really enjoyed eating all that yummy food again!

The doctor suggested that my digestive problems were just anxiety, which was partially correct. So I learned even more ways to deal with anxiety. I have always been very determined to resolve anything that keeps me from being happy, enjoying and loving my life, but I still wasn't having any success. My symptoms were getting worse. Still frustrated, exhausted, and fed up, I decided to try a new tactic.

I am a Dream Builder Coach and practice what I teach daily because I know it works! I believe in divine guidance, messages, signs and co-creating with a higher power. Miraculous things happen in divine ways when we ask Spirit/God/Infinite Intelligence/Higher Power to help us resolve a challenge or obtain a dream or a big goal. We must believe what we seek is possible, take action steps, and go into the feeling as if the destination or vision has already been achieved. We must surrender to the "form," the "how," and "when" it will happen.

Fast forward to 4 months ago when I received information that literally changed my health and life in ways better than I could have imagined. My dream of feeling and being healthy finally manifested! It was such a simple, effective and permanent solution. Unfortunately, it took me 57 years to find it; however, as the saying goes, "better late than never." I am eternally grateful for this discovery and feel better for the first time in my life.

Two years ago, I joined Colette Baron-Reid's Oracle Circle yearly membership during the pandemic. Everyone was in lockdown, and I needed something fun and inspiring to do. It was one of the best decisions I made, and I am still a member. In this yearly membership, one of the benefits is what Colette calls Spirit Jam. Twice a month, we have live calls with her and people are randomly chosen to have a reading from Colette. I have been extremely fortunate to have two readings from her and received many cledons. A cledon is when you listen to someone else's reading, but their circumstances and details are very similar to yours. All or part of the message from Colette and Spirit is also for you. It is really cool when that happens.

Long story short, during one of these Zoom calls, Colette mentioned that she was having digestive issues and had an RMA FST IgG test done. Simply put, it is a bloodwork test that can test over 200 food items for food sensitivity, not to be confused with an allergy test. However, food sensitivities can be very extreme as well. Symptoms may include digestive issues like myself, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), headaches/migraines, fatigue, high blood pressure, eczema, asthma, joint pain, runny nose, arthritis, weight problems and fibromyalgia. It takes about three weeks to get your results, and you must pay for the test out of pocket in Canada. It's a bit pricey, but our health is worth it, and considering how much money I spent over the years on medications, modalities, etc., the cost was very doable and well worth it.

The crazy thing is that none of my medical doctors knew this test existed. I think of all the years I suffered when a simple bloodwork test would have easily resolved my health problems.

Please note that I am not a medical doctor. I am only providing information on what helped me and has created life-changing permanent results when nothing else worked. People will be different in what works for them including, which foods they can and can't have.

It took a good two months for my guts to heal and see results after I stopped eating all the foods with which I had extreme and moderate sensitivities. I am completely off the "elevated" and "borderline" foods.

Even though I was GF for ten years, I still have gluten sensitivity. I mentioned earlier that eating gluten-free for me was the worst thing I could have done. That is because most GF foods contain potato and rice ingredients, the two primary foods I react with the worst. I had to eliminate all grains except for quinoa and corn. My body is also sensitive to cow, sheep and goat milk products. Buffalo milk products are the only things I can safely have. I didn't even know buffalo milk was a thing! Lol, but to my surprise, buffalo milk and cheese are delicious. Other sensitivities include egg whites, soy, peanuts, pistachios, almonds, peas, red kidney beans, and radishes. It's not a lot of items, but most of them are the main items in most people's diets. Plus, milk substitutes are generally almond or rice milk, but both are on my "no" list. I have found that vegetarian items usually have soy, which is also on my "no" list. The beginning stages of discovering new foods to eat were challenging. Every time I read a food label, it had ingredients I needed to avoid.

I admit I had a pity party, but luckily it didn't last long. I had to change my eating habits completely. Initially, it was very challenging, but I have gotten creative with my cooking and found some great substitutes. I was not a meat-eater before. I found the smell would make me gag, which was a problem because now my diet consists of only meat, fruit and vegetables. However, now that I am only buying high-quality meat (grass-fed animals and antibiotic and steroid free), I am really enjoying meat in my diet.

It has been quite the journey for me, and I have more gratitude than words can express for this new life of excellent health and no longer feeling sick! Finally, a permanent solution to a life-long dream of feeling and being healthy.

Even though I was always searching for a way to improve my health, part of me still put my career and other goals first. I learned something vital; our health is the most crucial thing in life. When we have a chronic illness, we learn to adapt and even partly accept this way of being and put our health on hold. I finally realized that for my career and relationship dreams to come to fruition; I first had to heal my body.

Within only two months of feeling healthy for the first time in my life, new career opportunities magically opened up for me, and I am now seeing tangible results for all my hard work in every part of my life. Everything is now falling into place quickly in incredible ways! I no longer have anxiety and am feeling healthy. I finally lost weight and had to purchase new clothes. I am enjoying life on a new level and feeling more inspired than ever.

Never give up on your dreams! I firmly believe that we can have a fulfilling life and manifest our dreams into reality. It may not always happen when or how we think it should but guaranteed, if we allow it, it will be even better than we can imagine possible—living a life that we truly love!
